Amy's Big Day

The Farmer/Greenslade Wedding was a beautiful one indeed. Originally Amy was to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage to an outdoor ceremony beneath ferns and a rose garland decorated gazebo. But after a few days of heavy rain (8 inches for Cleburne), everything had to be moved indoors. The florist decorated an archway for the happy couple to stand in front of and managed to make the seating area pretty. Directly behind the petition, the reception awaited with the best DJ ever. He kept the party moving. We all danced till we had blisters on the bottom of our feet. He actually kept the photographer keyed to those photo opportunities that a bride likes to remember. Amy and Brian left the next morning for their honeymoon to the Riveria Myo (?) which is south of Cancun. They returned today very happy and keen on spending their last few days relaxing and "putting each other first". Tomorrow they have invited us all to go boating in Whitney. They have a nice huge boat (10 seater) with a canopy for those of us that can't take the sun. The little ones are very excited, sporting their new life jackets. Brian loves kids and makes each one feel important. I think it's very sweet to spend their last few days of their honeymoon with all of us! Such as it is with a large family...you just seem to miss being a part of a "HUGE" gathering! We're making a day of it with a picnic lunch!
